She disdains any uninspiring "hanging-on-the-wall" curatorial conventions, instead actively embracing experimental, bold, and innovative practices. Her background in media studies informs her approach to curatorship as a scalpel for dissecting technological power structures. Her research focuses particularly on algorithmic biases and spectral power dynamics behind digital interfaces, as manifested in net art and computer-based artistic expressions.

Currently, she is examining the 15th Kassel Documenta as a case study to analyze entrenched power hierarchies within the international biennial system and guerrilla-style curatorial tactics of artistic self-organization. Parallel to this, she conducts comparative research on spontaneously formed art communities in urban villages across Southern China.

Exhibition Statement

This exhibition revolves around two conceptual themes: "Hui 洄 (Migration Cycles)" and "Threshold Moments." The former not only symbolizes biological migratory phenomena but also represents a retrospective exploration along linear temporality - an inquiry into collective memory and existential meaning. Within artistic expressions, this concept transforms into an examination of the fluid interconnections and transformations between past, present, and future. Regarding "Threshold Moments," as British writer Russell Hoban observed: "Looking back, we see the seeds of the future; gazing forward, we behold reflections of the past." Each present moment serves as such a temporal nexus bridging chronology.

These conceptual frameworks emerge from reflections on "the spiritual dilemmas of our era" and the search for potential resolutions. Under these thematic umbrellas, participating artists employ technological mediums including 3D scanning, virtual reality, and AI-generated visuals to interrogate the fallacies inherent in modernity's linear progress narrative. Their works manifest at this critical juncture, revealing transformative shifts in temporal consciousness and conceptual paradigms.
